Painted Floor in Office

If you have an ugly old floor like this, fixing it can be as easy as paint. My kids are going to remember me painting everything 🙂 It is such a inexpensive way to update almost everything.  Todd and I have been working hard, as you know, on our office space. Well the flooring in the room was pretty beat up. Old Linoleum tile squares that were stained and cracked in some places. We glued down some of the cracked ones as best we could. Our original plan was to buy new vinyl squares to glue on top, but the $200-$300 dollars to purchase them came up missing from our budget more than once. One day at Lowes I was looking at the discounted paint and came across a can of Porch paint. Made for heavy traffic and sealing patios outside. Todd and I looked at it and thought of our flooring. Yes! Lets paint it! The color was perfect and so was the $9.00 price tag.

I want to show you how it looked before we painted. See all the stains? And even some brocken out pieces.

Now it looks like this. And it only cost $9!

Here’s Todd putting up the trim. It’s basically all done up in here. My next home remodel post I will be sharing pictures of the whole room. Remember to always check the discounted paint section at the Hardware Stores. There’s lots you can do with it 🙂
